After discussion with staff members, we've decided to set new rules for display names changes for eligible groups~~

So, from now on the following limits apply:

Sapphire E.L.F. ㅡ can change own display name once every six months
SUPER♥Girl / WONDER♥Boy ㅡ can change own display name once every three months
☆ Junior Donator ㅡ can change own display name once every three months
SUPER♥Donator ㅡ can change own display name once every month
Wonder E.L.F. ㅡ can change own display name once every month

Members of these groups can change their display names by clicking on their name in the menu bar, choosing My Settings from the drop down panel, then clicking Display Name in the left-hand menu!

I was thinking those pm's about changing usernames must of been a bit much right?
But this is a great decision!! ^^ Thanks for letting us do that~!

When I read this announcement, it made me really happy. I've actually been thinking about changing my username, but didn't want to lose 'miatastic' completely. lol I guess you could say I'm super attached to it. Thanks so much for implementing this. <3

This is a great idea! I bet it must've been tiring to receive PMs. But I don't have much plans on changing my un right now but still this option is daebak!

Thank you! This is another plus for Sapphire E.L.F. and other colored groups :) It's such a rewarding advantage and bonus! I'm really happy!
And hopefully, this'll be a perk that'll motivate other groups to post more too~ Great idea!

Even if I'm a donator in the Super Girl/Wonder Boy group, I can only change it every 6 months because my username is blue right?

This is really more for the newer Super Girls/Wonder Boys because my year is almost up.

I can't stand being curious about things, so I had to ask. ^^

A username change is a reward and privilege for those who are constantly active on the forum, have won a contest, or have contributed in some way to SJ-World. Because the username changing privilege is hard to achieve, when a person signed up, that is why they were given advise to pick a username that meant something special, or meant something about, the user from the start.

Anyway, while I'm posting, I'm glad that something like this was put into action; it makes it much easier on the staff. Thanks for putting this up to let us know and giving us the chance to ask and discuss.

If you're also a Donator then that should be set as one of your secondary groups, so the username limits for Donators should apply... if you find it doesn't, let me know and we can make concessions for changing cases like that manually. ♥

Will a member, who's changed their username, still receive a PM if it is sent to their old username?

From my experience, No. So you need to let them know that you change a new UN :)

ωooĶiezŁ⌣εїз is right~ if someone tries to PM you by manually typing in your old name, then they'll just get a notification that the display name doesn't exist and the message can't be sent (unless someone else has taken that display name since you changed it, of course)
