Upon revelation of Leeteuk's phone number via Twitter, real time search keywords appeared on Twitter and various other portals demonstrating fans' explosive attention and concern.

Following that, Kim Heechul also wrote on his own Twitter saying: "I am Kim Heechul, this is Leeteuk's phone, he said because it is April Fool's Day he decided to put up his real number. His phone exploded. As expected, it's God Leeteuk. You have to do something of this scale to be considered an April Fool's event. I can't win, what should I do."

In the picture that accompanied the tweet, it can be seen that Leeteuk's phone received numerous phone calls, SMS and kakaotalk messages (in which the display could only show up to 999 messages), showing proof that the number revealed is indeed his own phone number.

Seriously though, I don't know whether I should call him an idiot for doing that (and killing his phone at the same time) or whether I should shower him with hugs for announcing his number, haha. Regardless, I suppose he changed his number, and I hope, for the sake of everyone else out there in Korea, that the telco service won't sell off this number. The next owner is going to suffer lol.

Leeteuk already changed his phone number. I think his manager ask him to change it since it's already not a secret and leeteuk would be in trouble if he maintain with the same number.

He actually didn't tweet his whole phone number at first but the ELFs started guessing and in the end got the phone number wrong so the right owner of that phone number got calls non-stop. Leeteuk revealed his phone number and said that "call this, don't call wrong number".

Being an American ELF, I was really disappointed I wasn't able to join in on all of this xD When I tried to dial, my phone said I couldn't make international calls.

So unlike Donghae, I am not "international, baby" Lol

I thought it was hilarious that his phone went crazy, but I don't blame him for the poor victim that received a ton of calls, I mean, how he could guess that fans would use his nickname to complete the phone number?. Anyway, at the end he revealed his real number and he said it was ok because we were having fun XD and i loved the fact that heechul admitted he can't beat that hahaha

Do Korean's celebrate April Fool's Day differently? Didn't seem like a very good prank and just ended up literally blowing up his phone lol. I just think what Leeteuk did was silly and a little careless. You're not supposed to prank yourself...

Poor leader; setting himself up for a "prank" on April Fools. When I frst saw the message on Facebook (since I don't use Twitter all that much) I thought it was just a prank by him. Wow, So this is really true.. My brother was even the one who told me about this. It's a good prank, i think. For a day, We were all excited for it :)
