Hey all, as you can see from the topic title above, do you think we should have a primary fansite? I'm quite new to this fandom but I believe SuJu has quite a few large fansites and forum sites. Wouldn't it be better if we have a main fansite, or we could somehow connect these sites together so as we can work with each other? If there is a main website for ELFs, please feel free to ignore the following. If not, please read on...

I've seen how ELFs banded together to buy Mr Simple's album and the results are amazing. Now, imagine how much more we can achieve if we were actually united such as having a main site were all ELFs can go (e.g. like Soshified for Sones). Besides, having a primary site has a number of merits:

1. We are more organised, which allows us to undertake bigger and more ambitious projects because we are able to pull our resources together

2. With an active community, we can create a close-knit, involved feeling for fellow ELFs. This will make the members feel like they're a part of something not just to read forums for news and events or watch videos but be actively involved like in a club. This will promote active and loyal members. (And we like loyal members :D)

3. Eliminate redundancy of repeated postings of videos, news and events and info.

4. Keep track of the actual fanclub size because currently, we haven't got a clue how big the fandom is (though it's safe to assume it's fairly big)

...and the list goes on.

So, what do you think?

Well this actually the 'main' (if you like to call it that) site for Suju. I'm pretty sure it's just us and another site (forgot the name. But they use a school system instead of the system we use...The name won't come to mind ;A;) that Suju know since we've done so many projects and all that for them.

Though of course, the mods could do something about advertising us more and linking other Suju fansites here along with the ones we already have (Eg, yesungmelody, geng-bao.net. You get what I mean right?) But I'm no mod so~ XD

The name for the other major-ish SJ forum is Super Legacy, I'm also a member on there but I think SJ-World is a slighty larger fan base than them, so I think SJ-World is pretty much the "main" fan base for Super Junior.

Well SJ-World, is basically the main SJ forum, since it started in 08 and officially opened in 09.
Super-Legacy is the other sj forum that opened just last year around August 2011, personaliy I like SJ-World more probably because its more organized and has fast updated photes, translation, fangoods, etc. While I like super-legacy for their subbed videos.
I think its a good idea if we did work together since super-legacy focuses alot on subbing videos while sj-world focuses on getting up-to-date news, photes, and raw videos.
I think its up to the mods, but I like your idea.

I'm not sure about either forums because I haven't been here long enough to tell however I feel that super-legacy is more project based and the discussions aren't as active as the ones in sj-world <- please correct me if I'm wrong. Just a brief question, does sj-world organise its own projects too? Eg. Birthday projects, anniversaries?

This whole main website thing actually stemmed from the collaboration to buy the Mr Simple album fiasco. We were apparently quite organised (I read from a forum that ELFs had staggered the buying by: first week- K-ELF; second week - J-ELF&C-ELF; third week - I-ELF. However don't take my word for it as I'm quoting from a forum so I can't verify this) but we were also all over the place eg. posting on youtube, tumblr and facebook (which can't be helped, I understand) to the great annoyance of many fandoms (some ELFs included). I think having a network of ELF fandoms from each country or a main website of communication would help alleviate this problem. But of course, this is in the hands of the mods.

Just thought I'd put this suggestion up and to see what people think about it. Thoughts, anyone?

Yes, I do prefer SJ-World more because of its clean interface.

I'm also a member at super legacy but I didn't realise sj-world was the "main" fan base. To be honest, I thought it was super legacy. (Maybe because of its awesome layout XD)

I agree, I think it's all in the hands of the mods. But just thought I'd put the suggestion out and maybe generate some interest.

hummm.. actually I've thought about this before... I got confused what is the "main" site for us, firstly I join sj-world, but my friend from another fandom said that super legacy is the official and I sign up there too..
but, when every site always make a cutoff for the loyal member, someone like who rare update in any site like me hehehee... find some difficulties with this rule.. If I just active in one site, I'll get some difficulties in other such as some video in super legacy make a regulation for some credits can access some video.
so I agree with ur suggestion. maybe we should not make new site but, maybe both of the sites that we've talked about make collaboration to solve this problem...
I dont know much about IT or webdesign this is just my silly oppinion^^
and also, I really sad if another fandom said that E.L.F is irritating or sth like that, this is because we dont have any place to talk more about sth.. maybe if we can make chat among us ELF it'll make our friendship better^^
It's my opinion.. sorry for many typos but I hope u can understand what I mean^^
