WELCOME BACK TO SJ-WORLD!

Changes in the forum:

• SJ-World has been upgraded to IPB3! If anything isn't working, seems broken or just doesn't look right, please leave a reply in this topic with details!
  
• Due to lack of time, we decided to use a simple default layout! It might not be fancy, but it's easy to use and should be helpful for anyone who isn't used to IPB3. In future we'll have a brand new layout, so please await it~
  
• Auto-promotion in the Donation Tracker is temporarily disabled; if you make a donation and need your group to be upgraded, please PM sushi cat~♥ to ask.
  
• Due to changes in IPB3, members will now only have one user picture across the forum, not a personal photo + avatar as before. If your user picture is missing or incorrect, please just set a new one in your profile!

Finally (and the most exciting!): SJ-World will introduce a weekly contest in which winners can win SJ merchandise! This new section is called ♫♪Carnival☆★. The first event will begin at SJ-World's meetup for SMTown Anaheim on May 19! It will be livestreamed so many SJ-World members from all over the world can have a chance to win!

I've been missing the forum sooooo much! It was like one of my daily routines (which one of them is checking on the site every morning) had been disrupted but however...although the forum is new and 'raw' and has no layout, I DON'T CAREEEEE lol I'm sooooooooo glad the forum is back!!hee

Finally it's back!It's been ages since I last came to SJWorld.Until one day I found out the forum was gonna be updated and then only I realized I miss it terribly.I came here everyday just to check if it's back online.

I'm glad you decided to let the forum go online even without a finished layout, although I miss the pretty sjw a little<3 but I've missed the whole forum even more XD

I guess it's fine to come with some constructive comments here...?
After quickly browsing through the forum I noticed one thing that bothers me T.T

I can't access or see my old posts or topics. I think it's because the search is limited to a few months back, a period when I didn't make any posts and so when I look up my content it's empty. It would be good if you could push the search limit back (perhaps to when you started the forum so you can see all posts everyone has made). I've always liked the option of going back and look through one member's posts, e.g. sometimes I find people who write interesting and engaging posts in a topic and often it's fun to see what they might think of other topics. Or it could just be to find old posts I wrote myself and see how my opinion has changed etc. Either way, to me it's an appreciated feature :D
I'm quite sure it's possible to make this change as I can see all posts I've done on other forums that use this IPB too ^^

((hmm.. while writing this I realized that there's apparently an auto-save while writing.. which is a good feature! I tried it out though by refreshing the page and it seemed to work well except that all symbols became a mess when you restored the auto-saved content lol ;_; e.g. ' became &amp;#39; ))

edit: (lol) another thing I just realized..
Is it possible to make the 'edited by'-line (shown below in this post) optional? I sometimes make small spelling mistakes I need to correct and more than often I make small changes in my post after I've posted it the first time (kinda like Leeteuk XD) and I'd rather do those without the ugly "edited by.." showing up (actually I hate that line <.< lol).
I've noticed that other forums using this IPB usually have an option while editing where you can choose to add the 'edit by' line if you want to instead of having it turn up by default just as you can choose to enable emoticons or signatures for example. Plus there's some posts of mine I found that were messed up in the forum upgrade and I'd like to change it so it looks good again without having it saying in the post that I edited it months later D: (yes, I'm an obsessive perfectionist like that ._.)

edit2: I noticed you've already changed it so you can see posts that are up to one year old, I still think it would be better if we could access all our content.. (but at least mine isn't empty anymore ^^)

The edited by line should be optional again now too - I set it that way with only staff edits in mind, I didn't register it would actually be unfairly annoying D: Which of your posts were broken and in what way, though?

thanks~ ^^ good, hopefully it works to set it back further but it's no hurry, I just like to look back at old stuff :)

mainly posts where I've used the function 'indent', it turns up written as [indent] in my post instead, looks weird.. like:

[indent][indent]*blablablah written stuff*[/indent][/indent]

instead of the text being "pushed in" like this:

*blablablah written stuff*

also I'm not sure but are the fonts different? seems like some we had before are missing but I'm not sure lol.. fonts don't seem to have changed in posts I've already made but some of them don't seem to exist anymore o.O
then there's just something with the sizes of the text. nothing serious, everything looks good with the default size but it seems that all sizes are generally smaller lol. It's just that things I've written with a small size is now very small and things with a big size is not as big as I remember anymore. It's quite easy to fix yourself.
Generally, it's just that some of my pretty posts look a little weird lol ._.

+just noticed something else with the smileys you can add to a post. In an old post I apparently used one with this code :2 lol: (remove space) which apparently is this one ..... but I can't see the icon it's supposed to be, I only see the text. The weird thing is that it isn't really text but an image of the text because when I tried to highlight it it didn't work and my computer saved the image instead lol.. (I save pictures with click and drag)
There doesn't seem to be any problems with smileys added now after the update though as evidenced by this post lol, only the old ones that seem to be broken? it's quite a petty problem but I'll write it here anyway XD

It's so nice to see sjw back!^^ I like to check all SJ updates on here, I missed that~
I will have to get used to the IPB3~ I have used it before a few times, but still not really know how to move on it lol. I will wait for the new layout~ guys, thanks for your hardwork!

I have missed SJW a lot over the hiatus. From visiting the forum every day, the rountine changed to visiting Twitter every day for updates.
Can't express enough how happy I was to know the forum is back.
It'll take a while to get used to this new look but I'm sure it will come around.
