E X P L A N A T I O N
of the Fan part of Donghae's Birthday Project!

The Fan part of Donghae's birthday project consists of sending handmade or computer decorated fish templates, which will be compiled and given to him to show love from hundreds of fans across the world!

Send your decorated fish for the fan project in time for it to be received before October 10th.

Please follow the guidelines carefully to know what you can and CANNOT use to decorate your fish template.

Please do not decide to NOT take part in this project just because you don't want to ship out of the country. In order for this project to work, everyone must ship their templates. Shipping a flat item like a card template should cost no more than around $1.50USD for first class if you send asap.

PLEASE read everything thoroughly before asking questions, decorating your fish, or shipping!

Guidelines for <QUOTE-A-FISH>
RULES to have your fish template accepted!

Template details:
↘ Pick one of the templates SJ-World provided: TEMPLATE 1 // TEMPLATE 2 (you can edit it as much as you want!)
↘ OR: design your own FISH template! It can be ANY TYPE of fish, but no other animal. We accept FISH only.
↘ You are allowed to send a maximum of 2 templates;

Template size:
↘ The MINIMUM size the FISH must be is:
↘↘ Width of 20 cm = 7.9 in
↘↘ Height of 15 cm = 5.9 in
↘ The MAXIMUM size the FISH has to be is:
↘↘ Width of 25 cm = 9.8 in
↘↘ Height of 18 cm = 7.1 in

Template decoration:
For the decoration, you have two options:
→ Decorate the shape with a graphic software, upload it on http://www.tinypic.com and email the URL to: sjworld.projects@gmail.com
→ Decorate it by hand, using either the template we provided or your own fish design, and send it by mail to Joyce; the address is HERE. If you're decorating by hand and decide to use the template we provided, please use thicker paper or card when printing. If you want to use card that won't fit in your printer, you can either use your own fish design or print out our template to trace onto your card.
↘ You are allowed to decorate the templates as you did for the Leeteuk/Heechul templates;
↘ You can decorate them with pictures of: Super Junior, Donghae, and E.L.F.
↘ You can use stickers (hearts, stars, animals, etc.)
↘ You can draw on the templates;
↘ DO NOT DECORATE THE TEMPLATE IN THE EYE AREA AS WE WILL NEED TO PUNCH A HOLE THERE.

What MUST be on the template:
↘ You have to write ONE of the quotes we provided: FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES HERE!
↘ Username @ sj-world.net ( example: La'MISS:fairy @ sj-world.net )
↘ Your city and country ( example: Modena, Italy )

What you CAN write on the template:
↘ Your real name;
↘ "I love you" in any language (we encourage you to write it in your native language, and add a translation in English, or Korean);
↘ You can write SIMPLE, SHORT, EASY-TO-UNDERSTAND English sentences; please remember that Donghae's first language is and will always be Korean, while his English is very, very, very limited. He can easily understand simple things such as "you're beautiful and talented!" or "you're so cute in the Happy Bubble CF!", but NOT "I think you're such a beautiful person inside and out, and you've got so much talent!";
↘ You can write other sentences in your native language without providing a translation; the point of this project is to show him that he has fans all over the world. It is not necessary for him to understand everything that is written on them;
↘ If writing in English, Korean, or Chinese please make sure they are:
↘↘ Grammatically correct
↘↘ Polite, respectful, not too informal
↘↘ Not offensive in any way
↘ EXTRA: if you want to write Korean words, but don't know how to, here are some to help you:
↘↘ Happy birthday 생일 축하합니다
^ NOTE: this is a recurring typo I see. It's 합 with a ㅂ at the bottom, not an ㅁ

IMPORTANT ⇒ you can ask in this thread for the translation of a word or a VERY SHORT sentence; long sentences will get ignored. Please also remember that we're busy, so we might take a while to reply. In case we take longer than 2 days to reply, I suggest you write the sentence in a language you know instead.

What you can NOT write on the template:
↘ Profanity;
↘ Offensive or sexual content;
↘ No references to a particular stance (ONLY13, 15, etc.);
↘ No explicit or ridiculous love declarations, such as "marry me" etc.;
↘ No blog / email / facebook / website (etc.) addresses;
IMPORTANT ⇒ templates that do NOT follow these rules, will not be delivered to Donghae. All templates will be checked before delivery.

What to do before sending the template if NOT sent via email:
↘ Put the template in an envelope;
↘ Write the address from this post on the envelope;
↘ Write your username on the back of the envelope;
↘ Send your template for the fan project in time for it to be received before October 10th;

Quotes for Donghae

↘ You can only use ONE QUOTE per template!
↘ You can send a maximum of TWO templates for Donghae.
↘ We provided 6 KOREAN quotes and 2 ENGLISH quotes! Pick ONLY ONE per template!
↘ Write the KOREAN quote in Korean: even if you're not good at writing in Korean, copying the characters is an easy task. Or you can use a graphic software, and easily paste the quote onto your artwork.
↘ You CAN translate the quote into YOUR OWN LANGUAGE and write that TOGETHER WITH THE KOREAN OR ENGLISH quote.
↘ You do NOT need to provide a translation of the quote into your language, as long as the Korean or English quote is there: it's fine.
