✎〃Rules & Information〃✌

☆ Let's translate! is a forum section that was once visible to SJ-World Staff members only;

It's an area where we post topics with information in Korean, Chinese, or Japanese that require translating, so that a Staff member who knows the language can claim this and that thing, translate it, and post it up in SJ▬Classik for everyone to see. This is done in order to avoid duplicates and time wasting, or to ask someone to translate news or information in a language we do not understand.

Now, considering that people may find recent news and information before we do, and also that non-staff members might decide to translate and post up something that a Translator was already working on, we think it's better to keep this section public.

This area can be used by EVERYONE to post links to webpages where you find a piece of information or media, but can't translate it at the moment (because you either don't have time to, or don't understand it). For example, if one of the Super Junior members updates cyworld and the entry hasn't been translated yet, you can post the original entry here or a link to the source, and a translator will work on it as soon as possible!

Here is a list of useful links where you can find material to post.
If you have more links, please share them with us in a reply here.

REMEMBER:
01. When posting here, you MUST state or provide: the original source, a link to the page where you found the text you're posting up, the date, the time (if available, like in cyworld entries, for example), and any other information you deem valuable.
02. Tag the topic title properly as we do in all other forum sections, for example: [DATE/SJ MEMBER/TYPE]
Where "TYPE" can be: [NEWS] [TRANSCRIPT] [INTERVIEW] [FAN ACCOUNT] [LYRICS] [CY] [FANCAFE] [IPLE] [UFO] [OHP] (Official Home Page) [FAMILY] (for anything posted by a family member of Super Junior), etc.

If you have questions, ask here! :)

Please help us out ^^ it will make updates come quicker, but please also remember that we can't be online 24/7 to translate, and not everything can/will be translated. Important news and all cyworld/fancafe entries will be provided though, that's guaranteed.

Would like to ask... If we want to help translate some articles, do we translate and post them as a reply? Or do we open a new thread in the other sub-forum? Sorry if this question has already been answered. If it is, I need to get my eyes checked. Haha! =)

If the topic was started in Let's Translate already, post your translation in a reply in the thread. A moderator will check it, and then move it to the appropriate area. :)

coz i've learned hangeul in a formal class last summer and i would like to help in translating any written materials. XDD

I have a question..
For example.. Right now someone put an update of Eunhyuk's cy..
Even though I don't know Korean that well, but some things I can understand and so I can translate it..
It says thay you're not allowed to leave a comment unless you want to post materials or claim a translation..
But do I have the rights to put a piece of translation that need to be translated?

^ If it will take you some time, you should post it in this section, just to let people know. But if you're going to take 5 minutes, I don't think its necessary because you can just directly post it in the correct section. And if you're not sure about your translations or need clarification, then you post here ^^

Fan account is when you're at any Suju recording/concert etc.

I'm not sure what you post the date as but I think you should post it as [??/SJ MEMBER/TYPE] and ask for the date in the thread, hopefully someone knows.

When someone posts lyrics .
i can romanize them but translating would take me like .. 5 or more hours o.o
if lyrics are posted , can i post up romanized lyrics and leave the translating for someone who's faster ?

I have something that I'd like to request for a translation, but it's not a news article. Is that allowed?
There's a Siwon fanblog on Tumblr and they posted something called "Good and Bad Examples of Choi Siwon" which are like collages that have Siwon pics and Hangul captions. However, they weren't able to translate the "examples" and they also didn't mention the original source (if you ever allow this to be posted here, I'll ask them for the original source).

I'm sorry if I'm not allowed to reply to this >.<.. but claiming is when someone is just notifying others that they will be translating it, so for example 2 people dont accidently translate the same thing.
